You can choose to pre-mix J-LUBE in advance and store it in your own container or mix as-you-go, shortly before use.
If you decide to pre-mix J-LUBE and store it in a container, be sure to properly sanitize and wash out your container between each refill.

This product contains no preservatives. We recommend maintaining a fresh batch by discarding any portion that isn’t used within 3 weeks of being mixed. J-LUBE should always be refrigerated between uses.
J-LUBE can be frozen to avoid waste. Simply mix your large batch and poor into separate containers/dispensers that you can freeze and use when ready. Some have frozen their pre-mixed J-LUBE into cubes, which they insert, to sooth the skin after am intense play session.

TIPS AND TRICKS

  • Cold water works best when mixing J-LUBE.
  • Microwave your mix to help dissolve clumps. Be sure to let it cool before touching.
  • Create a slurry by adding a small bit of water to hydrate the total measured powder before adding entire portion of water.
  • If you over-work your slurry, it can result in a clump that will not dissolve.
  • Sifting the powder prior to mixing can reduce the amount of clumps formed during mixing.
  • The less water you use, the thicker the final mix will be.
  • Pre-dry the powder in a ziploc bag that is inside another ziploc bag with desiccant packets between the layers. The dryer your powder, the less clumps.

MIXING IN ADVANCE

**NOTE: The following measurement ratios will result in a thin, liquidy lubricant. If you want to create a thicker consistency, use half the amount of water.

DIRECTIONS USING A BOWL
What you’ll need:
6 teaspoons J-LUBE Powder
1 cup water
Large Bowl
Mixing utensil (ie. whisk, fork)
Container for storage
Pour some of the water into you large mixing bowl. Add powder while stirring using your mixing utensil. Add the rest of your water while continuing to stir until the powder is dissolved. Once you are happy with the consistency, pour the final product into your storage container and keep it sealed until you are ready to use. It’s best to refrigerate J-LUBE between uses. Leave it out at room temperature for a few hours prior to using to let it warm.

DIRECTIONS USING A BOTTLE
What you’ll need:
6 teaspoons J-LUBE Powder
1 cup water
Bottle (such as an empty water bottle)
Funnel
Container for storage (optional)
Pour 1 cup of water into the mixing bottle using a funnel. Dry your funnel completely and then use it to add the J-LUBE powder. Screw on the cap of the bottle and shake vigorously until the powder is completely dissolved. Once the bubbles settle you may either use the mixing bottle to also store your lubricant, or put it in a sealable container until you are ready to use it.

DIRECTIONS USING A BLENDER
What you’ll need:
6 teaspoons J-LUBE Powder
1 cup water
Blender or hand mixer
Container for storage
Pour 1 cup of water into the blender. Add 6 teaspoons of J-LUBE powder and replace the lid. Blend on low until powder is completely dissolved. Using a blender will result in a frothy mix. You’ll need to allow it to sit for several minutes in order to settle completely before pouring into your sealable storage container.

MIX AS-YOU-GO (prior to each use)

METHOD A - The simplest way to mix J-LUBE is to simply shake some powder onto your hands and run them under a stream of water, or you can have a bowl of water or spray bottle by you to apply as little or as much water as you need to. A little water will go a long way with J-LUBE, but not using enough water will result in a sticky, dry, plaster-like effect on your skin. This can be easily cleaned off with soap and hot water. J-LUBE is completely water soluble.

METHOD B - Using a standard bowl, poor in 8 ounces of cold water and sprinkle in 2 teaspoons of J-LUBE powered while stirring rapidly but smoothly with a whisk. Continue stirring until completely dissolved and in a runny liquid state. Strain any clumps while pouring into another bowl or container you will use during play time.

CUSTOMIZING THE MIX

The less water you use the thicker the final mix will be. If you’re trying to mix a thicker lube for anal sex, try ¼ or ½ cup of water to 1/8 cup (6 tsp) powder.

CLEAN UP

J-LUBE is completely water-soluble and will wash away easily with soap and hot-water. Of course the thicker you mix J-LUBE the more soap and water it will take to wash away. Table salt will help break up the molecules quicker. Most find a simple shower after use is the easiest way to get thoroughly clean after use, but a simple hand towel and water from your sink will suffice.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHO MAKES IT?
J-LUBE is manufactured by Jorgenson Laboratories in Colorado.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
J-LUBE is extremely slippery. The exact time before it evaporates will vary, but even when it does a dash of water (or saliva) will quickly reactivate it. The viscosity has been likened to being similar to “deep throat saliva” by some reviewers and the gooey nature of it is arguably the longest-lasting water-based lube available today.

IS IT EDIBLE?
J-LUBE will have no negative reaction if it gets in your mouth during intimate activity, but we do not recommend ingesting it in any actual quantity. Think of it as toothpaste. Ok for your mouth, but you don’t want to swallow a bunch.

WHY DOES IT SAY FOR VETERINARIAN USE ONLY?
J-LUBE’s original purpose when it was developed was for use by Veterinarians to assist with medical exams of animals and during birthing. However, it is completely safe for human use.

DOES IT STAIN?
We have not found J-LUBE to stain most materials, however it is possible with certain delicate fabrics for a slight residue to be left behind. This can easily be broken up with salt and water.

CAN IT BE USED IN PLACE OF ELECTRO-SEX GEL FOR E-STIM DEVICES?
No, e-stim lubricants and gels have special formulations to promote the conductivity of electricity. J-LUBE was not developed with this purpose in mind.

IS IT CONDOM-SAFE?
Since it is water-based it is latex and polyurethane friendly, but has not been tested in a lab for the compatibility with condoms. LubeZilla.com cannot make any type of medical claim regarding the absolute safety of this lubricant with condoms.

IT CAME OUT STICKY AND GRAINY, WHAT DID I DO WRONG?
If enough water isn’t used in mixing J-LUBE a sticky, dry, plaster-like effect will result. This can be washed away completely and fairly easily with some soap and hot-water. Usually after the first or second try, you’ll be able to get the water-to-powder ratio correct. Just be sure to mix it completely and thoroughly as quickly as possible to avoid it clumping.

DOES IT WASH AWAY EASILY?
J-LUBE is completely water-soluble and will wash away easily with soap and hot-water. Of course the thicker you mix J-LUBE the more soap and water it will take to wash away.
